The coffee roasting process represents arguably the most critical influence on the flavour of your favourite coffee.
During the roasting process more than 900 aromatic volatile compounds are produced and it is these compounds that determine the flavour of coffee – approximately 30 of which actively participate in the aromas and flavours that we as the average human are able to perceive in any one cup. The balance of these is the key to ensuring a pleasant sensory experience for the coffee drinker.
Here at Two Beards Coffee, we enjoy exploring this process in a variety of ways:
• Microlot Single Origin: the higher end Specialty Arabica coffees that have unique and distinctive undertones are roasted to an extent that best allows you to experience these beautiful coffees. This allows for a diverse range of roasting techniques and is where we as roasters get to truly ‘play’.
• Single Origin and Artisan Blends: we understand that our coffee community enjoy a certain sensory experience and we spend time roasting coffees to embrace that, and at the same time expand the knowledge of roasting and taste experiences.
• Commercial Blends: we work with our commercial clients to develop a unique experience that best describes who they are. A delightful collaboration process.
Roasting is a passion for us. It is a continuous learning process, constantly experimenting, the fun factor exploring new techniques and coffees. It why we do what we do. And we love sharing that with you.
Coffee Tech Engineering
As an Artisan Coffee Roastery that is focused on Specialty Grade Arabica, we require roasting equipment that enables us to best extract the incredibly diverse range of undertones available in these extraordinary coffees.
Coffee-Tech Engineering passionately focus on producing of the best coffee roasters in the world. Their multiple international awards are proof of this.
